Genomic Technologies Facility
Next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies are transforming the way we study many biological problems and prompt us to ask new biological questions. The mission of Core Facility for Genomics @ PSC is to provide complete and cost-effective genomics solutions with state-of-the-art technologies. The facility is now equipped with two HiSeq 2500 (Illumina), one MiSeq, two automatic library preparation robotics (Perkin Elmer) and other auxiliary instruments. With the current SBS V4 reagent from Illumina, up to 2 tetrabytes of data can be generated every week. We provide services for five types of NGS applications, including mapping-by-sequencing (MBS), mRNA sequencing (mRNA-seq), ChIP (chromatin immunoprecipitation) sequencing (ChIP-seq), sRNA sequencing (sRNA-seq), whole-genome bisulfite sequencing (BS-seq), We also collaborate with many other labs on a wide range of customized NGS applications.
